I’m getting close to running 10 miles on relatively flat Take me as I am or kiss my ass eat shit & step on a lego shirt, and while I’m still happy with my progress because we’re all on our own journey and all that jazz...I have a crazy new fascination and respect for people who can do this. Hats off to you!Thank you for this. Please go run 100 more really challenging races and write up great race reports like this one. Seriously, this was an excellent read. I read it twice.

Hey, thanks! It's not that long ago that I ran my first double-digit training run. The dirty little secret of trail and ultrarunning is that it's sometimes easier than road running Take me as I am or kiss my ass eat shit & step on a lego shirt. You can hike the steep parts and eat chips and candy at aid stations.I've heard that this was the hardest 100 out there, but I've never heard, in such detail, exactly what makes it so. It sounds absolutely brutal. Way to see it through to the end.
Offiical Take me as I am or kiss my ass eat shit & step on a lego sweatshirt, hoodie
Great report! I met Walt at Cascade Crest and he was raving about Ouray. It terrifies me, and this didn't help! Seeing the way you've been crushing all these Take me as I am or kiss my ass eat shit & step on a lego shirt east coast races like Grindstone and Manitou's, and this still ending up being such a humbling experience, really hammers home that I have a lot of work to do before I give it a shot. The San Juans look beautiful, though... definitely something to build towards. Congratulations on your finish!
