I mean sure.... but if every label did that then wouldn't orders be even Post Malone Hollywood's Bleeding shirt backed up since then it would just pile the factories even harder with orders? Also, you have to send out the masters to the factories to start pressing. I doubt these albums are finished months before. Probably still working on mixing and mastering 2 weeks before release. But there are still many artists releasing their digital album, CD and vinyl all on the same day with no problem so it's not like it's impossible. Even a month or two after a digital release is bearable. Four months is ridiculous to me, justified reason or not.

I'm not talking about Kanye albums where he's not even done editing and finishing the album after it's already released Post Malone Hollywood's Bleeding shirt. The physical product is supposed to be ready for a normal album launch. That's just how it's supposed to be... Now in the digital age, where an artist can literally drop a single/album any time they want, these labels are looking at physical media as an afterthought. There's no fucking reason this record shouldn't come for 4 months. That means they literally just submitted the album to be pressed. It's laziness.

You answered your own question lol. This album was not finished 2 or 3 months ago. Its probably just being finished right now. Hell young thug edited his album after the release and Post Malone Hollywood's Bleeding shirt becoming more and more common for artist to be working on projects right till release date these days due to digital media making it more convenient and less strict on release dates for artist since they don't have to finish it months before release to start the record pressings.
