‘Real women have curves’ ended up being a dangerous Official Lizzo Logo Colorful shirt. Like the ‘real Americans are inserted political affiliation’ rhetoric. The road to exclusion/oppression doesn’t start blatantly but just suggests that persons outside of a certain definition are less of a person, are less “real”. It doesn’t help that the slogan was also often accompanied by images of women with not “curves” but actually 60-70 lbs overweight narrowing the definition of womanhood further.

Unfortunately, I'm now at an overweight BMI for the first time in my life. Eating disordered minds can go from Official Lizzo Logo Colorful shirt extreme to the other and I used food to cope with the stress. I have (mainly from Generalised Anxiety Disorder and trying to help my alcoholic boyfriend). I am on a healthy journey now to get back to the healthy BMI range. But it's always tempting to go back to my old mindset... Then I remember how sick I felt and how worried my family was and that helps.

You're doing a great job being driven in that atmosphere! It's got to be even harder working in the medical field and hearing this stuff. I hear it from women at work and I can either ignore Official Lizzo Logo Colorful shirt if it's accidentally a dig at me or gently correct it if someone is talking like. It's impossible for them to lose weight because of this, that or the other. It helps that I'm generally a very supportive and positive person and don't push that stuff unless someone opens the floor for it or starts asking questions or spreading bad misinformation
