Our second favorite way to eat pierogi (by the way I can’t stress it enough but pierogi is plural already so it’s not pierogies) is with fruits. Normally either strawberries (my favorite) or blueberries Official I Love Pierogi Shirt. You have to coat the fruits in a layer of sugar and potato starch before you use them as the filling and you boil the pierogi. Then we eat them with a mix of sour and sweet cream (sweet one only will work as well) and lots of sugar

Try next time caramelizing the onion on butter with a little bit of salt. It tastes 10x better than with raw onion or only butter etc. If you are looking for other fillings ideas I’d try the traditional ones: Champignons with caramelized onion, dried mushrooms or champignons with sauerOfficial I Love Pierogi Shirt raut and caramelized onion, sauerkraut with potatoes and sausage (obviously in this case vegan). You can either boil them and serve them with caramelized onion or boil them and then deep fry them. Then they work like an amazing snack even on parties.
