Do you think if Kassius Ohno at WWE WrestleMania Axxess shirt didn't have thyroid issues he'd be a veritable monster on the main roster? Or no? He was released the first time (I believe) because he was doing the player/coach thing without being told to, which upset a few people in developmental. The dude had been wrestling for like 15 years at a high level by that point, it's not like he was telling them the wrong things to do. I thought he was released last time cause he got out of shape with his injury and couldn't get back in shape?

That's not true, Kassius Ohno at WWE WrestleMania Axxess shirt has said so in shoots. It had nothing to do with his weight. When they released him, he was in the best shape of his career. Do you really think they'd hire him again when he's in the worst shape of his career if it was that big of a deal? If he genuinely had severe thyroid issues he wouldn't be able to wrestle, never mind compete at the high level he does on a regular basis putting in performances that would have the average in shape male in their late 30s pretty exhausted if not unable to complete the match at some point. Ohno has some of the most tremendous cardio in the business in spite of his weight and build. I'd take his word on his condition with extreme skepticism. It's a handy way to deflect criticism about weight by hiding behind a medical excuse that shames your critics for being insensitive.

I have hypothyroidism. Obviously Kassius Ohno at WWE WrestleMania Axxess shirt can have it worse than me, but it's literally one pill in the morning. That's it. He is not massively overweight because of his thyroid. It's an excuse. Those hormones would negate the weight gain by correcting your metabolism, combined with a good exercise regime (which he clearly has always had in place considering his cardio) any excess weight would be shed within a year or two. Pretty sure that was just an excuse Konnan made for his wellness violation. Said that he failed for his thyroid medication and couldn't take it afterwards hence he got fat and had to wear a shirt. In reality, WWE isn't going to stop someone from taking prescribed thyroid medication because they'd be opening themselves up to a serious lawsuit.
