I'm not surprised that's a sub. I bought my wife a targeted t-shirt as kind of a gag gift that she wears at night time.I wonder if guys like this see it as a gag gift or if they're actually serious about it. I can never tell.

Part of the reason why I had to unfollow George Takei (other than his page becoming 100% clickbait) was that the commenters had gone full Tumblrista Edgelord, with a special emphasis on calling everything a social construct. It makes them feel smarter than others to say that something important is borderline non-existent or something. I think the person who said that about time may have been there. Doesn’t it though? I mean without being pompous about it, if they flash a military ID don’t they get the discount.

I work in a custom t-shirt shop and we've got several display designs that include birth month like this because they're fairly popular. Granted ours aren't as The Devil Whispered In My Ear Withstand The Storm Lion Flower shirt as this example but still, we certainly do sell lots of "KINGS/QUEENS ARE BORN IN DECEMBER" and "ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL BUT THE BEST ARE BORN IN FEBRUARY" and the ones I see buying them are actually serious like "Hell yeah, I've got nothing else going on in my life, the month I was born is important." I guess. I know sometimes the seriousness about it ties into belief in astrology, but not always. I don't understand it honestly.
