Here in the Czech Republic, SpongeBob SquarePants Savage Patrick Shirt there was no legislature about movie ratings until 2012. Before that, the distributors themselves rated the movies but cinemas did not enforce the ratings. Now only some of them do. I remember seeing the new Alien in the cinema (rated "inaccessible for 15 and below") and there were lots of younger kids. Maybe it's because I saw it in a small local cinema.

It doesn't matter if you're with an adult SpongeBob SquarePants Savage Patrick Shirt if you're younger than the rating allows and the cinema enforces the age limit they won't let you see the movie. Thanks for the info. And also for introducing me to my new favorite phrase ("Bamboozlement ensued. Interesting. The film ratings in Canada (well, at least in the portion known as Calgary, Alberta) go as such: G, PG,  But what's more interesting (to me anywho) is which films receive those ratings. As a for-instance: south of the (Canadian) border, Jordan Peele's "Get Out" had an "R" while in Alberta it received a 14^A (meaning anybody over the age of 14 could see it.)
