I understand that this is an I'm gonna dress how I want this summer and if you think I'm fat well so do I shirt good place to vent and that some people are completely unmanageable, but i wanna give some advice as someone who is fed up with awful coworkers in food service/retail. From some of the instances in your post, you spend so much unnecessary time arguing with Karen. It's so important to just not give these people the attention they're craving, especially if you are moving up the chain of command.

It worries me that you have gotten into I'm gonna dress how I want this summer and if you think I'm fat well so do I shirt it with her and been wrong in a few of these circumstances. You sound just like me at work-letting irrational, rude people who fail to use common sense (especially the ice cube example) get under your skin. You gotta step above her (I'm sure it will get better when you're above her) and just treat everything as a learning experience. As something, I've noticed myself do, and other people who are hard workers, we want to make excuses for everything because we know we have valid reasons for the things we do and the mistakes we make. You gotta stop doing that.

No more of the "I only got _ training" or I'm gonna dress how I want this summer and if you think I'm fat well so do I shirt "I worked in a different store and didn't know." It makes YOU look bad and honestly, it's a waste of everyone's time to hear it. You made a mistake and that's just fine. However, you seem to do a pretty good job of recognizing when you do mess up, which is awesome. One last thing, I would really suggest not bringing customers into your arguments-and not letting Karen drag them into it either.
