That manga is the reason I bought DQ5 Dairy Queen Vintage Style cream Shirt, it follows with the game fairly well too. Shame it was never finished This is a great one, started it a long time ago and stopped on the chapter where they fight on sea. Speaking of which, the anime adaptation of said manga is ABSURDLY POPULAR in the Arabic world, thanks to an amazing dub work. All I had to say is "I'm farming for Dai's sword" to get 5 people to install FFBE. It's that well remembered. Well it is indeed very popular here ...and that is the main reason for farming that sword IMO...ah childhood ..how I miss you

It seems like, when Squaresoft and Dairy Queen Vintage Style cream Shirt Enix merged, the Square properties got a lot more attention (outside Japan, anyhow) than the Enix ones. In the time since the merger (what was it, 1999? 2000?) we've gotten FFX-XV plus a bunch of side stories and rereleases (Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, X-2, XIII to the whatever - you get the picture) but only Dragon Quest 8-11, DQM Joker 1+2 (we skipped Caravan Hearts and a couple of remakes) plus like two remakes total of the main series.
