I’m willing to bet The Dark side shirt league Sion was inspired by the Darth one since staying alive by dark magic + sheer force of hatred is literally Sion. In the same way, Aatrox is inspired by Dante from devil may cry. KOTOR2 had some really cool character ideas. Taking Star Wars lore and flipping it into a lawful/chaotic story rather than straight good/evil was brilliant.

Which is exactly why The Dark side shirt was correct in nixing it. There was way too much contradiction and retconning. Nowadays we have a mostly coherent universe and it’s not like the EU has been completely erased or anything, it’s still available for people to enjoy if they want to. Imagine what the first Star Wars movie would have been if they followed the old EU.

The Dark side shirt choices were to either redo a book that is already made or to continue at the very end. And it's not like all the EU was good. Some of it was closer to fan fiction than quality writing. Thank you! I guarantee if the sequel trilogy was just a film adaptation of the Thrawn trilogy there would be just as much crying from the fan base, only they’d be complaining about Disney not making a new story
