He really killed it with the features this year... J Cole KOD Album Cover Shirt ain't the best though, Pretty Little Fears is miles better, and it's tolerable to listen to because it doesn't have an annoying-ass beat. Honestly just weak voting probably, rocky beat mac on the east coast, but for the best project of the year overall mac was 7th and rocky didn’t even chart, which I’d attribute to more people voting for the overall best project, and not caring as much about the regional ones.

Still my two favorite artists tho so pretty dope. The reception to J Cole KOD Album Cover Shirt has taken a major 180 and after listening to that album again I really don’t get why. It’s not godawful but it’s not better than Swimming, or Die Lit for that matter. I love when an artist experiments and tries new things, I’d rather have a boundary-pushing project than a chart-topping pop-rap album but man I did not care for Testing. That’s a weak argument. You can also experiment and try new things while also doing them well. I appreciate Rocky experimenting but it falls flat a lot.

He didn’t have to go in a “pop rap” direction but J Cole KOD Album Cover Shirt clear that he failed in some parts with what he’s trying to accomplish. The songs most people like or the ones where Rocky sticks to his guns anyway. Can I ask why? I actually felt this way with A.L.L.A. which really disappointed me. I feel like people who loved ALLA didn’t like this album because their expectations were too high. It's significantly better than Oxnard, and SRS is too damn weird and hardly a West Coast project. I love it, but it sounds East Coast through and through.
