Honestly except for the big butts and shit like that there really isn’t much that surprises me. That kind of parenting crosses the line. My own mother is far more reasonable (yet has somewhat high expectations), and used to threaten and hit me. However, my mom is rather insecure about her looks and try to look younger and skinnier and teases me about having a big butt and stuff (When I'm an hourglass and my mom doesn't even have curves. Lol)

My mom knows better than that. She supports me in my interests and calls bullshit on that money buys you happiness. Driving your child to suicide, taking money for granted, and all that is highly concerning. My mom wouldn't even do that. I know plenty of other people that are Asian-American. And they're actually lenient. I was more addressing tiger moms in China. I myself am also honest American and she is considerably nicer. I dot agree that the parenting is extremely harsh it is still going on with a lot of other families. Feel free to correct me though.
