The mystery is deepening, I wonder what lies ahead... I feel like I am reading Either you gone marry me or let me do bald headed shit shirt, cannot put my finger on one suspect, every person has a shady secret. Oh, they're great. Tightly plotted, well written, great characterization and no real deus ex machinas to clear up the mysteries. (Except for one infamous case, which wasn't really all that bad). Okay, time for speculation. The skinned men are likely either the McCaskey brothers, now some sort of revenants or just heavily scarred men after the Incident at the mines, or men in special hazard-suits. The Powder... could be something from the mines the McCaskey brothers were trying to get or something that was put into the water supply for some reason. The Shiny Gentleman, I think is most likely Prescott himself. I'm not entirely sure what's up with the Triple Tree, other than that something must have happened in the room with the mattress- perhaps with the Road to Hell mile marker, it has something to do with the town's history, and maybe the mine and/or the McCaskey brothers as well. And possibly with the disappearances.
