Apparently, his heart wasn't in snooker for very long. Even as a younger man in his early twenties he flirted with the idea of retirement. As far back as age 18, I believe he talked about retiring. A tortured soul it seems. His dad served time in prison for murder and I believe was the reason he started playing snooker in the first place.
